I love Gu. I know for most it's the consistency that bothers them. Personally, I love it. It's fast, and easy to swallow. You can eat them without having to slow down or skip a beat. I found that chomps, bars, and other similar products were very difficult to consume whilst running. It took a little getting used to, but now I won't ever switch back.

For new Gu users, I'd suggest going to your local running/athletics store that carries a decent variety of them. Buy a few different flavors to try, then eat them as a snack during the day when you're NOT running. This way, you'll know if the consistency bothers you, or if it might upset your stomach, without having to deal with those issues while out on a run.

I love this post - and it may have inspired a post for my own blog. :) My fiance and I have recently started eating much healthier, mostly because we've made a commitment to improving our long term health. I've noticed that co-workers and others who see me eating salads and heatlhy snacks will always remark that I shouldn't dieting and don't need to lose weight - and, when I try to explain that I'm just eating healthier, they think that I'm only saying that because I don't want to admit I'm "dieting" before my wedding!

I came across the link for your blog on WeddingBee - I'm looking forward to reading more!

I have an open jar of nutella to donate to the cause. It is not paleo so it's in the donate pile. Oatmeal and pasta too if you want!
